Birgit O’Connor, a popular workshop instructor, will be the juror for the LWS 38^th International Exhibit.  Birgit has shown her paintings all over the world including a one woman show in Hong Kong.  Her award winning work has been published in over 24 national and international artist publications.  She won 1^st place in LWS 28^th International Exhibit in 1998 and is a regular contributor to Artist Magazine, Watercolor Magic, Artists Sketch, and Watercolor Basics.

In this watercolor class we will focus on simplifying flowers as we create petals and folds while exploring the illusion of depth. Learn through Birgit’s demonstrations how to create large washes on petals, layering techniques and the building of color for intensity, volume, depth and drama. She will also guide short exercises on color blending and wet-into-wet techniques. There will also be lots of time for practice. Bring your own photographs or work with the sketches Birgit provides.
